Meet Jim
Hi, my name is Jim Daumeyer and I am excited to announce that I am running for Loveland City Council. I have been a Loveland resident for over 20 years and have been lucky to raise my family here and call Loveland home.
I am running for council because I believe our city is special and maintaining what makes us both a destination and an amazing place to call home is something I believe in.
About 5 years ago I started building trails in Loveland because I wanted to connect the community via walking trails. I, along with many volunteers, worked to open Dyson Trail at Phillips Park, Tomahawk Trail in The Heights, and am currently working on my third trail.
I believe that community connections are vital to our special city and that extends past walking trails. There are many opportunities to get our citizens involved in the community and I want to improve both communication about, and access to, these opportunities.
Of course, every city must keep an eye towards the future and that often means growth. I would bring a willingness and openness to smart growth that strengthens our future while maintaining what makes us Loveland.
I also believe that we must maintain our strong city services to ensure the safety of our residents.
I hope to meet you in the coming months to learn what is important to you. When I am elected I will work for you.
